Screenwriter Alex Garland on 28 Days Later
This is a great little bit of details about Alex Garland and his time writing, or shall I say, co-writing the script for 28 Days Later. He talks about the influences, and how the script came to be, and how he, Danny Boyle and Andrew Macdonald pretty much co-wrote the script after it went through so many different drafts. So for 28 Days later, the script was done by a group of 3.

Makes sense, considering we are all taking ideas from past movies and media to make it our own. We are always inspired by something, or some form of media. Even if we forgot about a certain bit in the movie, our subconscious doesn't always know that and so you may toss in an idea, and later realize it's from an old movie you were a fan of.
